Izmailovo is a large district of Moscow. The main sights are the "Kremlin in Izmailovo", the Izmailovo Museum-Reserve and the Izmailovsky Park. Izmailovsky Kremlin is a large-scale copy of the ancient Russian castle.
Natural and Historical Park "Izmailovo" (formerly - Izmailovsky Park of Culture and Rest named after Stalin) is the largest city park in Europe [1]. It is a territory subordinate to the State Environmental Budgetary Institution "Mospriroda", which, in turn, is subordinate to the Department of Nature Management and Environmental Protection of the city of Moscow. Occupies an area of 1608.1 hectares. The park includes: Izmailovsky and Terletsky forest parks, Serebryano-Vinogradny pond with an island, Izmailovo Culture and Rest Park. History of Izmailovsky Park Izmailovo has been known since 1389. According to the census of land holdings in 1571, it belonged to the Vasiltsev camp of the Moscow district. In 1571-1585, the estate of the boyar NR Zakharin-Yuriev was here. In 1585-1654, the owners were his descendants - the Romanovs, then this place belonged to the palace department (1654-1837). Since 1663, the estate became the patrimony of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich and an extensive country residence was created. By order of the tsar, the Serebryanka river was dammed in several places, creating ponds: Lebedyansky, Prosyansky, Izmailovsky, Serebryany, Vinogradny. The last two formed an island, where the Tsar's palace was built. Since those times, the Intercession Cathedral has been preserved, erected in 1679 on the site of an even older, wooden church, which was built by Ivan Romanov in memory of the victory over enemies in the Time of Troubles.
In the royal estate, a hunting farm, a menagerie, Psarny and Sokolnichy courtyards, gardens, fields and dozens of ponds for their irrigation were arranged. The latest achievements of agronomy and horticulture were used, all sorts of "curiosities" were grown. Mills were spinning, waterfowl and fish multiplied. In the estate of Alexei Mikhailovich there were several gardens: Grape, Aptekarsky, Mulberry; also berries, vegetable gardens, hops. There were many different outbuildings and outbuildings, including an apiary, a mill, greenhouses, a glass factory, and a linen manufactory. The garden complex had a layout with elements of a regular style. Both Russian and foreign masters worked in the garden. In addition to fruit trees and shrubs, decorative species were also planted, there were flower beds. In the middle of the 19th century, linden alleys were still preserved, planted, according to legend, by Alexei Mikhailovich. Experimental work on the cultivation of southern plants was carried out in the gardens. Peter I played funny games in Izmailovo. Earthen redoubts have been partially preserved to this day. By order of Peter the Great, the Prosyanskaya (Zhukovskaya) dam was built on Serebryanka, the remains of which are preserved and are known to visitors as "hills" or "dam", which allowed testing in the Prosyan pond (now drained) that he found in Izmailovo and restored the little boat "Saint Nicholas" [2]. Later Anna Ioannovna lived in Izmailovo. Being a lover of hunting, in 1731 she started an extensive menagerie, which was of great fame. In 1865, the Izmailovskaya experimental apiary was created here. This is an exemplary farm that has become a leading school for many generations of Russian beekeepers. Since 2002, the Tsarskaya Apiary Ecological and Educational Center has been located here.
Kremlin in Izmailovo
Kreml in Izmailovo is a cultural and entertainment complex built in 1998-2007 on the territory of the Izmailovo estate. It is a wooden building stylized as Russian architecture of the 16th-17th centuries (neohistoricism). As of 2018, the Kremlin in Izmailovo consists of nine museums and exhibition areas: the Museum of Russian Folk Toys, the Museum of the Founding of the Russian Navy, the Museum of the History of Russian Vodka, the Museum of Bread, the Museum of Miniatures "World History in Plasticine", the Club - Museum - Lecture Hall " Traditional Masks and Figures of the World ", the Moscow Museum of Animation, the exhibition" Japan. Dolls, Fairy Tales, Legends ", as well as an interactive museum of entertaining devices" Grandfather's Attic ". History Main article: Izmailovo (estate) Panoramic view of the vernissage, 2009 The manor complex in Izmailovo was built in the 16th-17th centuries as a royal prison. The estate of the estate consisted of arable land and manufacturing production and until the end of the 18th century was considered one of the most successful in the territory of the Russian Empire. From the beginning of the 19th century, the manor complex began to decline. After the revolution of 1917, the buildings were abandoned, and in 1937 the church of St. Joasaph located on the territory of the estate was demolished. Historical buildings of the 17th century have survived to this day: the front and rear gates of the Tsar's courtyard, combined with side wings, the Bridge Tower, as well as office and utility rooms. In 1974, the exhibition of avant-garde artists, which was originally held in Belyaevo, was moved to the territory of the Izmailovo estate complex. The change of location took place due to a scandal that arose in Europe: during an exhibition on the Belyaevsky vacant lot, the paintings suffered from workers who were "holding a clean-up there" and were crushed by bulldozers, which is why the event went down in history as the "Bulldozer Exhibition". Subsequently, the holding of the exhibition on the territory of Izmailovo was officially authorized by the Soviet authorities [3]. Before the 1980 Summer Olympic Games, the construction of a multi-storey hotel began on the estate, but several years later the construction was suspended and the foundation pit was filled up. There were proposals to give the resulting vacant lot for the construction of a rehearsal base for the ensemble "Berezka", but the project was never implemented. In the late 1980s, a group of entrepreneurs created an improvised market in Izmailovo, which received the status of a vernissage in 1991. In the mid-1990s, the premises of the vernissage were enlarged with two-storey market premises covering seventeen hectares. Today, the opening day consists of a handicraft center, a flea market and a fairground. In 1998, public figure Alexander Ushakov presented to the Moscow government a project to build a wooden Kremlin with an entertainment complex on the territory of the estate. The city authorities gave permission for the construction, the construction of which continued until 2007 [3]. As the basis for the architectural construction, the place of the trading rows and the buildings of the royal residence of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich were used. As a result, the new Kremlin was located on a hill, it was surrounded by wooden fences and a stone wall with passage towers. In 2001, the church of St. Nicholas of Mirlikisky was opened on the territory of the estate, which received the status of a courtyard of St. Danilov's stavropegic monastery. The temple is one of the tallest wooden structures in Russia - its height is 46 meters. In 2003, the opening of the first exhibition spaces took place, and in 2005 a major fire destroyed many of the Kremlin's wooden buildings. Six months later, a decision was made to restore the lost structures, as well as to erect new buildings: the Palace of Russian Food and the Wedding Palace, also decorated in the style of Russian architecture of the 17th century. The total area of the newly built premises was 6,500 m². Workshops of blacksmiths, potters, woodcarvers, weavers are located in the courtyards of the Izmailovsky Kremlin, where master classes for visitors are also held. In 2018, the chief architect of Moscow, Sergei Kuznetsov, announced plans to build a pavilion for the production of decorative elements on the territory of the Kremlin. In 2019, the Moskomarkhitektura presented a project for the development of the district, which provided for the demolition of the vernissage in Izmailovo, however, representatives of the public movement "Our Izmailovo" managed to convince the capital's mayor's office to abandon this decision. On June 13, 2019, there was a fire that covered 50 m2. The fire was localized
Tsar's estate "Izmailovo"
The Izmailovo Estate Museum (Izmailovsky Island, Bauman Town) is a former boyar and royal estate on the Robka River, now part of the Moscow State United Art Historical, Architectural and Natural Landscape Museum-Reserve (MGOMZ). The estate is located on the island of the same name in the center of the artificial Serebryano-Vinogradny pond. Since the 16th century, the economy of the Izmailovo estate was the most advanced in Russia, but by the end of the 18th century it gradually fell into decay. In the 19th century, on the territory of the former tsarist estate, by order of Nicholas I, a military almshouse was opened for veterans of the Russian army. After the 1917 revolution, the institution was abandoned. Since the end of the 20th century, the estate was restored several times, in 1998 the construction of the Tsarskoe Podvorie complex began, within the framework of which the lost buildings of the estate were recreated. History Izmailovs The village of Izmailovo was first mentioned in chronicles from 1389 as a royal patrimony. It has been featured in documents since the time of Ivan the Terrible. During the restoration of the Intercession Cathedral in 1980-1984, a rural cemetery of the early 16th century was discovered under the base of the building. Consequently, the area has been inhabited for at least the previous century. Presumably, the village was named after the first owners. According to the "General Herald of Noble Clans", it belonged to "Artemy Ivanovich Izmailov, great-great-grandson of Izmail Prokopyevich, grandson of Shai from the Khan tribe." However, the Izmailovs of this clan mainly owned the lands of the Ryazan principality. According to the second version, the owners of the village came from the Lithuanian Mark Demidovich, who served with Ivan Mikhailovich Tverskoy. In the middle of the 15th century, voivode Lev Izmailov led the Tver army, which in the internecine princely war was on the side of Vasily the Dark. Probably, in gratitude for the help, Lev Izmailov received land to the east of Moscow, where the village of Izmailovo was later founded. Maps of the 17th century in this area marked the wasteland, named after the voivode - Levonovo

The Olympic rings were taken as a basis - symbols of the continents of the Earth. That is why the complex consists of five high-rise buildings of 30 floors each, two of which are connected by ends. And the names of the buildings were given by the letters of the Greek alphabet: Alpha, Beta, Vega, Gamma-Delta. The buildings of the complex were located around the square, the center of which was the Izmailovo Concert Hall. Today the Concert Hall "Izmailovo" is a modern venue with spacious foyers, an auditorium for 1161 seats and new comfortable theater chairs. The action on the stage is clearly visible from any place.
